Started work on foreground tiles

Hello Internet!
I was able to do some pixel-pushing today and yesterday and got started with a rock-formation foreground tileset.
I'm using the tile techniques from saint11's "Making Tiles" tutorial, and a bit of inspiration from Ikachan. Here's the current result:
There's a lot of more work to do on these. This is how it looks in Tiled:
Now, these tiles are 16x16, but the game is supposed to work with 8x8 tiles, so I'm thinking I might scrap these and do more simple blocks. Or maybe just darken them and use them as backgrounds, I dunno.
